UF is a modern, safe and compact technology allowing to filter matter from water in order to remove high molecular-weight substances, colloidal materials, and bacteria, organic and inorganic polymeric molecules.

UF membrane is self cleaned by a reverse flow applied a few minutes every hour. The Filter should be cleaned or changed every year.
The maintenance of the system is therefore simple and can be done even in remote areas in Frontier countries.

Additionnal Disinfection is being done by ultraviolet (UV) or chlorination unit.
